hey ya'll, ive been outta pocket for a while, but the weather is starting to break, randomly as it may be, so i'm back at it & i've hit a snag, halfway home from church the other night the water/antifreeze started flowing like a river, thought for sure it was coming from the water pump, so changed it & still leaking, so with the airbox outta the way i could see it was actually coming down from under the intake & running down on top of the water pump, just wondering if thats why i saw a little tiny puddle (back in the fall when i had the hood & cowl off to change the wiper motor) on the back passenger side between the intake manifold & valve cover, any ideals? & please take into consideration i'm used to old pre '72 stuff with carburators & no computers-thanks ya'll, priciate the help as always!

Re: intake plenium question
I believe there is a coolant elbow on the front of the lower intake manifold, this may have cracked, either from something coming in contact with it or from freezing etc... it's a little 90* plastic elbow about 1.5" in diameter... hope this helps and good luckRebuilding the engine... Re: intake plenium question
Heres a write up I did a long time ago on cleaning the throttle body, so it'll give you a good idea about how it comes off to change that gasket.

Re: intake plenium question
dude, the play by play pics are great & will be Very Helpful, hoping to tackle it this afternoon, what i was wondering was if you had or knew where i could get a PICTURE by PICTURE WALK THRU of Changing the entire "Upper Plenum" Gasket? ...cause i think its leaking from more towards the rear...so, may need to change the whole thing? i have been backyard building '72 & older small block chevys for over 20yrs now but i am admittedly nervous about getting that deep in the whole world of computers & fuel injection, so any kind of play by play so i dont screw something expensive up would be greatly appriciated! (btw-your "old people" comment cracks me up-lol! do i fall into that catagory? im 40, know absolutely nothing about modern technology & my other ride-a '71 chevy-still has a cassette deck?!? HaHa!) Thanks Again for the Help
