Hello Folks!
So my trusty (and slightly beaten up after 11 good years and 130K miles) Camaro has got a clogged Cat. I mean badly clogged, the car has very little power.
I have a Borla exhaust that I've had on it since I bought it (see that here http://www.lmperformance.com/550/1.html )
Anyway, I had a mechanic quote me over $1,000 today to replace the cat, and the O2 sensors. He says in order to fit the Cat to the Borla to the Cat, he needs to order the Cat with a Ypipe assembly that is $575!
That along with like $250 worth of O2 sensors plus $175 labor is going to be $1K.
What can I do to save money on this? Should I find somebody else? Is this my only option to stick with the Borla? I got my use out of the borla, if I could drop that and find a OEM assembly for cheaper I would.
Help! I cannot afford this repair bill at the moment and I need my Car back..
