  • exhaust help!

    ok, a friend of mine is willing to sell me his flowmaster catback dirt cheap..only thing is its for a v8..will it bolt up to my v6 exhaust? is the flange the same?

    96 v6 firebird
    he has exhaust for 93-97 camaro v8 (i know they are the same car..haha)

    With some modification, yes it will fit. Most likely, the only things that will need to attended to are the pipe size and the hanger placement. You could probably go to a muffler shop nearby and have them weld you an adapter. Your stock exhaust is 2.25" and the catback is most likely 2.75".

      depends diameter of the pipe...im not to keen on catback systems. it should fit with little/no modification.

        Daphne huh? I was just down your way a few weeks ago. I'm in the Army, and was working at Whiting Armory in Mobile, and the 1165th MP Co. in Fairhope. Got a freakin' ticket on a joy ride down in Dauphin Island too! :mad:

          huh, small world. I used to live in daphne...i joined the army and now im at fort gordon ga. my cousin is a MP in the guard unit in fairhope.

            That's cool. I work medical support for the 200th Regiment at Ft McClellan. What's your cousin's name?
