Not trying to thread jack but I just have some questions. How hard is it to swap headers? I was going to wait untill I dropped my motor for my swap to put my pacesetters on but im no where close to doing it, and high temp pant, dose that **** work?

Not hard at all to swap them. Just time and patience. Buti have yet to see the high temp paint actually work. It seems to just burn off after thirty minutes.
yeah it wasn't that bad. I had a few stubborn manifold bolts so that slowed me down. Then I tried putting the driver's side header in from the top and got it stuck somehow. Worked out a lot better going through the bottom.
It would have been a lot easier if the engine was already out though.

I used VHT's header paint... cured on the car and it's held up great. Got 1000's of miles on it and they look as good as the day I painted them.
hmm, that's odd, exactly what i used. followed the instructions the entire way. i suppose the coating has trouble sticking to the painted headers, even though i did scuff them.
if i could do it all again, i'd just dish out the extra for ceramic coated headers and be done with it.
if you are going to drop the engine anyways, then just wait. Much easier and less cussing and bloody knuckles. lol. Plus if you break a stud, it is almost impossible to remove in the car, so with the engine out it would be no biggy

Ah, there's the problem right there. You have to get that factory paint off. That's only a primer to keep them from rusting. That is going to come off and anything painted on top of it is going to come off too.
My RK Sport headers ceramic coating is still holding up after 10 years in this AZ heat, I still can' t believe it. Well made thats for sure.

Thats where I messed up I didnt get ceramic coated ones :slap:. Thats why I was wondring if that high temp paint would hold up. What else could I do? Yeah Im just going to wait to put mine in while I have my motor out for my swap/build.
