I guess it's not really the rasp that's bothering me. It's the "tuner" sound
that I don't like. Like I said in my first post - It sounds exactly the way
I DIDN'T want it to sound. I think it's just the sound that these Magnaflows
make on V6 engines. It would probably sound better on a V8, or a forced
      induction engine.
Anyway, I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with a Flowmaster 80 series.
Even if it's loud, it should get rid of the tuner sound and make it sound
more like a muscle car (I hope.)

if you want your car to sound like a muscle car, then buy a v8, a v6 is not going to sound good over 1500 rpm its going to sound like crap.

the only good sounding deep v6 i have ever heard was on the zzp website on the gr2 cam video i believe. i cant find that car again.

I disagree, I've heard plenty of V6 cars in my time that sound like hot rods.
They may not sound like V8s, but not all of them sound bad over 1500.
If I can jst get rid of the tuner sound I'll be happy, even if it does sound like crap.

Can't go wrong with the dynomax, I'll see if I can get a vid clip up soon.

in the meantime, i'll post some videos of good sounding v6s in my opinion. I spent 6 mos listening to videos to find the dynomax super turbo.

my old 3.4 sounded pretty good. I got compliments all the time. It had the cat delete and flowmaster american thunder catback. I remember a guy walked by me and said "Listen to all that power" and then I told him it was a v6 and he gave me a weird look and walked away.

So I wanted to thank everybody for your input on this.
After much consideration, I got rid of the Magnaflow, and went with a Flowmaster
80 Series (part # 53083.) The sound difference is like night and day. Still a little
raspy when I get on it, but the 'tuner' sound is all but gone. Should've went
with the Flowmaster in the first place. Oh well, live and learn. I also had the
shop bring the tail pipes all the way out the back (opposed to tucked and turned down,)
and used mendral 90 elbows out of the muffler. I was affraid of droning with the
Flowmaster, but it actually doesn't drone much at all, even less than the magnaflow did.

At any rate, much happier now. Sounds much more like a muscle car instead of a ricer :D
I'll try and get a new sound clip posted after work today.
