  • True Dual Exahaust Questions

Hey all, after doing a lot of searching and youtube watching, I am ready to dump my single exhaust for a true dual 2.25" setup. My questions are this:

Will ground clearance become a problem with headers and magnaflow mufflers? I plan on dumping it right before the rear axle.

Should I install dual hi flow cats?

Will this setup be too loud for a DD convertible?

    Thanks!

I'm doing a true dual w/H-pipe as well. Although mine will be with OBX stainless headers, SLP Loudmouth mufflers and coming all the way out the back. But I bought a pair of high flow cats to go with it. We'll see how loud it is when I get it on the car in the next month or so. I still need to buy the rest of the piping, that's it.

      Why 2 ¼"?
You should be fine unless your car is dropped.
Yes. You should unless you're doing the work yourself, or you might be ble to find a car's X or H pipe.
And sound levels all depend on your preference.

2.25 true duals flow plenty for what most v6's need them for, and it helps with ground clearance.
