It's 2.25 through, why are you asking that would help to answer your question

      Re: Stock exhaust diameter question

I got a 3" over the axle pipe and Dynomax super turbo and I was thinking of clamping the over the axle pipe to the stock exhaust and I couldnt figure out if it was 2.25 I.D or O.D. But Im just going to have an exhaust shop weld it together for me.

If I were you I'd go 3' from the cat to the tips, the transition from 2.25 to 3 is a big difference when it comes to flow so I'd recommend going 3 all the way

That's what I did, except it is 2.5" from the muffler to the dual tips. 3" from the cat (including both sides of the cat) to the muffler.

If you were to get headers you can go 2.5" from the headers to a 3" Y pipe then 3" all the way back.
