Air lid gasket?

well, i was finally able to get a whisper lid, but i noticed that it doesn't have a gasket for a good seal like the stock lid does.

does anyone know of where i can get that gasket or should i just make one with foam tape? The stock gasket is glued to the stock lid, so i just can't remove it.

I put mine on without a gasket, it sealed really tight.

Weather stripping or something would do the trick, should be at your typical parts store

agreed with this. when i put mine on it was as snug as it could possibly be and still clip down. can you give us pics?

haven't been able (plus i keep forgetting) to add any weatherstripping or anything, but i haven't noticed a problem at all. it does seem to be pretty tight, but i wasn't sure if i needed to add anything or not.

if i remember next time i drive by the auto store and i can find something pretty cheap, i might do it. if not....i don't think i'll lose any sleep over it.

The Whisper lid never felt like it sealed.. I went with a SLP lid on my LS1 and that thing seals like a champ.

Foam tape.

My stock lid never had a gasket until I bought a k&n filter and it came with one to put in the stock lid
