  • Pretty pricey to install pacesetter

Believe it or not I've had these headers since 2006. Back then the shop that was going to do it was charging me 320 dollars. He advised me to hold it because of the new California law that was going to be passed regarding mods, emissions and such would affect it. And he didn't want to see me remove it. I left it at my parent's tool shed. My late dad wrapped it really nice.

Last week, I went to their house and took it out and took it with me. Here in Nevada they're charging me 690 dollars for installation. That's crazy expensive.

Yes that’s pretty pricey, before you have them installed, replace the 2.5” ends with 2.5” Vbands and do the 3” Y pipe with 3” Vbands. Will save you alot of headaches in the future. Plus it’s easy to pull them off and on. Back in 2001 I think it was I had a mechanic install my RK Sport headers and some Venom 400 injectors. He couldn’t weld worth crap. I had the RK Sport Venom controller for the injectors. Paid him $300, he broke off the oil pressure sensor. So had to buy a new sensor and have the exhaust welded and the Venom 400 stuff worked about 10 times and then the injectors stuck open flooding the engine. Had to put the stock injectors in. I was working a lot so couldn’t do it myself. But $300 was a good price. Get the end’s done, I went from the ball design to 3 bolt then tried the VBands and definitely like the Vband better. Check around and if you can’t do it yourself then go with the best shop that has a reasonable price. Later on I had taken the RK headers on and off just time consuming at first. I installed my pacer setter’s and wasn’t that bad. That’s was with a bad back too, I went from underneath.
