I didn't have a wideband to use, so the fuel numbers are conservative. We plugged in autotap the night before and went for a spin...94 octane...and with 6% lean we saw the O2 voltages hitting low .800s so we didn't go any leaner.
Dyno results...
6% lean and adv 4 deg of timing got me 8rwhp and 12rwtq.
4% lean and adv 6 deg of timing got me 9rwhp and 11rwtq.
0% lean and adv 8 deg of timing got me 9rwhp and 4rwtq.
All the timing numbers came from the practice of advancing until the numbers stopped increasing and backing off one.
I probably could go 8% lean without problems but don't want to risk it without the wideband.
Very interesting results. This is on an n/a car.
Next weekend i'll take these results to the track to see if they equal a 10th or what.
One question... should I add octane boost and try advancing the timing another 2 deg at the track?
