I wish i knew how to weld!!! I mean i would love to do this cause I like doing things myself. I originally wanted to just do this myself... but i think its best to get welded.

thought about taking a welding course at the local community college. just need a little practice. renting a welder should be fairly easy.

knew a guy that just brazed his exhaust joints (he made it everything from emt -- its galvanized and you can usually already buy mandrel bent bends).

Never took a single welding or automotive lesson in my life. Just give it your best shot, and try to improve your next time.
*Oh, and wear lots of clothing when welding. I learned that tip within my first minute of welding a rear from my 76 T/A. I got about 10 burn spots on my head, hands and arms.
I never thought brazing would work on exhaust systems because of the temperatures they reach, but there are some here that say it does. I wouldn't do it to my exhaust though.
