I'm looking to replace my stock cat with a high flow cat. What is the best sounding, best performing and easiest to install. Do I need O2 simulators, how many? I was thinking of putting in a straight pipe but still have emissions testing. If they check my OBDII will it appear to be fine if I have O2 simulators? They don't physically check the emissions....just plug in the cable to the test port. Thanks

OK...I ordered one but how hard is it to install. If you can weld go for it, remmember to make an 02 bung also. I don't recommemnd clamping it, it will rattle and piss you off. My o2 sensor whent bad 6 months after I did this. It sett off an SES light and all that mess. It cost like $70 to get a new one. There are three on our cars. One per manifold and one after the cat. The one after the cat is the more expensive one. Got a warranty on it so it's all good. I took my cat off and with a very long screw driver, I emptied out all the rocky crap in it. I put it back on and passed the emmisions test with flying colors! It sound really good too. This way if they look underneath to see if you have one, you still do. Sorry too be off topic but you have the exact set up that i am thinking about getting on my car. IF just have a few questions. Frist, how is the over all sound, i mean can you stand back and say "man that is one good sounding car?" Also how is the sound in the upper RPMs, does it get really raspy at all? 2nd, did you notice any loss of low end tq? Toast: I have the catco 6007 and mine does trigger the SES light to come on. I am not sure if an O2 sim would help or not since i dont have one. Everyoen else i know that has a Catco cat also has the SES light on. I have heard that some of the more expensive hi-flow cats do not trigger the light..i dont know for sure though.
As for sound, i got my cat put on when i still had stock exhaust and it made a difference in sound. It was louder and deeper at all RPM's.
