  • Pacesetter Headers

Who is going to organize a group sale of the pacesetter headers. They now have them listed on their website for $309.95 or $549.95 for the coated ones. If we could get a good discount I think a lot of people here would be in.

Yeah come on, How about we make a group petition for a review. Honestly who cares if they have a product ( Ive seen it for cheap but as Ive posted ) No on has them instock and they are never getting more it seems. Uve seen the Ceramics for 250 or so probly 300 thats not bad, but they are way harsh on install cost.

Are the uncoated ones just painted steel or are they stainless?

Hi! The pacesetter headers are not available for purchase yet because they are not finished.

They are waiting for the production line to get everything it needs, and they will then install a set on my car too see if they fit ok and don't leak. After that, you can buy them. I know the guy at pacesetter who is personally building them. I will try and get you guys some kind of group purchase going, when I go in for the test fit. I will keep everyone posted. Any questions, E-Mail me anytime.

Painted steel. You could always buy 2 cans of ceramic-coat paint and bada-bing!
Thats why they are a bargain!
I *think* they might make some stainless ones too...

I would rather get them painted steel. Then have them Jet-hot coated and it would still be cheaper then the coated ones.

Well, Im majorly interested in a discount install over a discount purchase price. I cant find a place that will do it for less than 300 out here in San diego. and the places that say 300 say thats if they dont run into any problems, which means its gonna be 600 cause they'll have my bird and I'll want it back.

Yeah I would do it yourself. Your going to run into a high install cost on almost any mod that isn't a simple bolt on unless you learn to do it yourself.

I was under the impression the engines gotta get lifted to get one of the sides in, I could definitly do it, but I cant put my daily driver on the curb while I mess with headers.

I haven't heard that at all. There used to be an installation guide in the mod encyclopedia.

yeah whered it go =). Yeah, I was giving the engine bay a good look over and it almost looks as though ud have to igve the engine a lift to get the one side out. Maybe thats just me thinkin of the easy way to get them out, instead of disconnecting things and trying to squeeze them by. Im gonna look around to see if I can find an install let me know if u see anythign

I called Chris at Jet Hot. They will coat the Pacesetter headers in the basic "Sterling" finish for $195 plus $25 shipping and $220 plus $25 shipping in the "Sterling 2000" finish which is good for protection up to 2000 degrees. Summit Racing is selling these headers for $202.39 for the painted and $301.39 for the ceramic. Pacesetter told me they won't be out for 4-6 more weeks. I talked to them on Friday(3/8/03) :( Those new SLP headers are looking mighty fine!
