I just got my pacesetter headers today and I want to get them installed soon. Since I'm going to bolt Tiagos turbo up to the headers is it alright if I dump straight out of the headers for a while? I've heard this can cause problems with the engine?

sorry, this is kind of off topic but how are you going to hook his kit up to the headers? his kit is designed for stock preferably 00'+ last i heard

Well I'm not exactly sure. Tiago said it's gonna take some modification one way or another and that it shouldn't be a big problem... Thats why I want to run open headers, I'm not sure how the turbo is going to bolt up to it...Jeff R.
97 RED RS
http://camaro.rscpro.com

I did it for about a week. It is pretty loud. Don't drive in your neighborhood at 2AM.1999 red camaro v6 M5: with a turbo
13.52@107.99
No, seriously: Who Farted?
http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/600086

Yeah, it's definitely gonna be loud. You can hook up the turbo to your headers with some custom piping. Let Tiago know what you are doing...he'll take care of you. Yeah, it uber loud. I think its louder than a chopper bike, IMO. I actually got a thumb up from a biker with a harley when I ran it open headers to the muffler shop.00\' NBM Firebird~T-5
60\': 2.29 sec.
1/4: 14.7 @ 95.5 MPH
Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for me.

I think the most you'll do with open headers is lose some low-end torque. The most damage I'd worry about might be extra heat in the engine bay, but then again, I haven't done it. Maybe put the y-pipe on to move the exhaust away from the engine a little bit?2000 silver A4 Camaro
Whisper lid; Free Ram Air; BMR stb; MSD super conductor wires; Gatorback belt?
1986 RX-7 (daily driver)

Haha just don't run by any semis at WOT on the highway... the sound bounces off them soo much and is sooo freakin loud. I ran mine for about a week till I could get the exhaust worked, and that was enough. Definately loud, but sounded mean at idle\'98 Camaro V6
Appearance... pleasing
Performance... just a little extra air.

"lack" of backpressure isn't going to hurt... i guess you mean running through an open y, which is fine.
running open shorty headers is probably a bad idea, because when everything gets heated up, if you shut the car down and get a blast of cold air or even water up through the primaries, you run the chance of cooling your valves, etc. too quickly which will misshape them.

Yeah, I've heard alot about people floating thier valves doing that. I wouldn't do it, at least not for a long duration...\'99 SSM Camaro V6 M5
(mod list on cardomain site; too long to list here)
http://www.cardomain.com/id/v6cam99
