• I think I picked my Exhaust opitons(new to this)

Ok Im going to get the Loudmouth exhaust system I want to run 3 inch piping with a 3 inch high flow cat along with pacesetter headers. Would I still be smog legal in Ca? Also anything I should know being I dont know much about cars would I need the y pipe with my headers?

The y pipe comes with the headers. That's the exact exhaust I'm gonna have (headers and hi flow cat are sitting in my room). Dunno about the whole smog legal stuff though...

From the horror stories I've heard about CA, I'd be surprised if it were legal. You'll have to wait for someone who knows for sure, though.

Youd prolly get ticketed for the sound alot even if it were legal smog wise... I'm lucky bc they don't really give a **** about sound in florida. I hear v8s running open headers sometimes on the road...

Loudmouth is 50 state legal, the sound is the only problem with it. Different places have different regulations with sound.

They make some that are. When I was looking for mine online I saw some that said California state regulation compliant.

Some of the few good things about florida are the emissions/sound law enforcement.

Look, when you get your car smogged, they never look at your cat. If you get a decent cat, you should be find. Please know that you are going to stick out like a sore thumb, especially in Ventura county (cops are nazis) because of how loud your setup will be. I try to tell anyone who is getting a Loudmouth to know how rediculously loud it is. I'm not trying to change your mind, but I had mine for a week and I couldn't stand it! I was setting off car alarms left and right and I was getting way too much negative attention from the police not to me mention head aches from 3rd gear going up hills.
When I first got my flowmaster, it was not loud enough for me (stock cat with 2.5" pipe). After the loudmouth was taken off, I put the flowmaster back on and kept the high flow cat and the 3" pipe and I love it (I still set off car alarms in parking garages :D )

Anyway, to answer your question, it's all smog legal. Just make sure that when you get it smogged, let your car idle until it gets to about 200* so your cat burns more NOX (that's where the cat will hurt you).

What? What stickers are you talking about? If you fail emissions they don't have to pass you because of a sticker (I wish that was the case). CA is hardcore with the smog thanks to Grey Davis (aka G-Diddy)

You can always get a cut-out if you want it really LOUD.
