Alright i have the chance to buy a used rear end off of a 1998 SS for my 97 firebird, the only problem is that i don't know what gears are in it and the owner doesn't know. He knows it has the stock gears, my question is are the stock gears on the SS 3.42's?, btw its a 6-speed. Need to know tonite, Thank you so much,i have the chance to get this and the drive shaft for dirt cheap.
