  • HMMM.....HOW TO FIX?????

Ok so I have my stock exhaust that rattles and makes a thump when i go over big enough bumps in the road. So I took a look underneath my car.....I found that where the exhaust comes from, right before it goes into the muffler, it goes right above this piece of metal (looks like some type of support, not sure what it is).....so when i move the exhaust enough it hits that piece. So my question is how is this fixable??? Don't know what could possibly be done, how did this happen???? All i could think of was maybe those rubber things that connect to the hangers may have sagged(thus closer to that piece), I dunno.

Take it to an exhaust shop, explain to them what is going on and they should know how to fix it.

I had the same problem. It is probably your exhaust pipe . You will see a clamp with a rubber bushing. bend the clamp outwords.away from your muffler.
