Its the easier way to fix the problem. The real way would be to sent people non defective parts to replace those they have however thats not very cost effective for a business to do.

When i had my v6, i ordered pacesetters in like october 03... The y pipe wouldnt fit the headers (seemed to short) so i just torqued it down as much as possible. It leaked like crazy though, plus i didnt feel any power difference...
Worst $300 i spent on that car.
Im glad i sold it.
