also very good as well for a choice. Here's the quick breakdown

Dynomax - sounds AWESOME but it's not that loud until you open up the exhaust. It's a deep mellow tone.

Flowmasters - sounds just as great (to me it's the same) just even louder and a tad deeper. The exhaust likes to gurgle and my idle sounds nice and lopey (kinda like I have a cam) I'll post up later.

That's what I like about the flows. But with mine I'm running stock pipes, so its a little quiet.
D40's sound better from the outside of the vehicle. I'd always though that around 2000 rpms to 3000 or so, it sounded hollow. However, one day I was outside the vehicle when my brother drove it (not very far before he got to the stop sign, but enough to get the car into the 2500 rpms range) and it sounded much better. Almost like a little brother of the classic musclecars. (too quiet for a V8, and not as deep, but good)

But the best thing to do, is check around. Either sound clips, or car clubs/meetings.

I really really really REALLY need to upload my sound file of my car's exhaust. Anyone have a place for me to upload?

I have a dynomax on my car. It's very quiet. It almost sounds really close to stock. I heard a flowmaster 80 series and it sounds pretty good. Toast changed from a dynomax to a raven and the raven sounds a little louder then the flowmaster. Running it with a cutout is the right key if your looking for a loud exhaust.
