They are pretty handy..
and yes.. I know you cant measure the pipe becuase its round..
so... i also head about this stuff called string... i sugest that you wrap that around.. then use that "ruler" that I spoke of earlyer..
and there is some magical formula to convert circumfrence to diamater.. I think god invented it..
may want to consult a rocket scientest first though..

Wait wait... what?? Wtf are you talking about dude? Pipe is measured in DIAMETER not circumference!! So yes you CAN use a ruler to measure it...
99W68Firebird, the outlet of the stock catalytic converter is 2.5". I have a 3" cat-back so my exhaust shop just used an expander (or reducer depending on how you look at it, but it's the same concept) and custom made my s-pipe. Most competant shops can do this for you with only minimal costs, you should talk to them first before you go ordering a bunch of pipe you don't need.2002 Black Firebird:
A4, Y87, W68, T-tops
Best NA ET: 15.16 @ 90
http://members.cardomain.com/darksde02

yea well i dunno im confused.. the guy that is putting my exhaust on said i need a pipe that will go from my muffler to my i-pipe.. which im guessing thats the s-pipe? then yea i have 3" in/out hi-flow cat, but that is 8" shorter than the stock one so there will be missing pipe there also. but do i need any special pipe to connect the cat to the i-pipe99\' W68 Firebird
SLP Ram air kit,Whisper Air Lid, k&n, 8mm Taylor Wires, Bridgestone Potenzas RE950, BMR Red LCAs, Pacesetter Headers and 3\"in catalytic converter with 2.75\" Flowmaster Cat-back

http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/501008

the pipe that goes from your muffler to your i-pipe is your over axle pipe which is generally the same thing when poepl talk about it. at www.summitracing.com ,they have both the over-axle pipe and s-pipe for about $40 each. thats 3" byt the way
