I would like to know the part number to the catco catalitic convertor that people used. I am trying to buy the cheapest one possible. I have American Thunder kit, and Pacesetters going on, so I figured I would do a cat too.

Yeah, this has been talked about a lot. Catco is decent, carsound is good, I have a Magnaflow cat on my car, it seems to be holding up very good. Oh, btw, you can delete your own threads by clicking edit and there is an option to delete at the top on the edit screen. Your car should sound good when you get it all finished.1999 Silverado- Bagged, colormatched and rollin on stock chrome 16\'s
Make love not war, hell do both, get married

Why waste your money on the Pacesetters when you already have tubular manifolds that flow nearly as good? People have tested aftermarket headers vs the stock ones and gained less than 5hp, not worth the expense if you ask me. Take Tiago's turbo kit for example, why would he make his kit specifically for the stock tubular manifolds unless they were pretty good as is?
Anyways, Catco is cheap and probably flows like crap, spend the extra money and get a better brand if you're really worried about flow/quality.2002 Black Firebird:
A4, Y87, W68, T-tops
Best NA ET: 15.16 @ 90
http://members.cardomain.com/darksde02

O2Bsogood, r u trying to confuse him? You said Carsound cats are very good, and then went on saying you have a Magnaflow cat. I was under the impression that the carsound cats are magnaflow cats.Eclipse 8443, CDT ES-620s in doors (Clarion APX401.2), IEK, CDT 6X in rear(HU), Image Dynamics ID10v.3D.4 in stealthbox(Clarion DPX1001.2)
http://www.sounddomain.com/id/larryfirebird33
borla cat-back, FTRA, whisper lid

I guess I am, the box that my cat came in didn't say carsound on it anywhere that I remember, just Magnaflow, I had it installed at a local shop. It was too early in the moring for me to even see straight so I probably just didn't see Carsound on it. I was thinking they were differnt, but I guess they are the same. My bad, Carsound=Magnaflow. Thanks for pointing that out LARRYfireBIRD33, don't want to be giving noobs bad info, lol. So my votes for carsound then, they seem to hold up well.1999 Silverado- Bagged, colormatched and rollin on stock chrome 16\'s
Make love not war, hell do both, get married

Magnaflow does give you Carsound cats with their catbacks but you can also buy them separate for $58 on Ebay Stores. I'd get a 3" one, but some go with 2.5", your choice.2002 Black Firebird:
A4, Y87, W68, T-tops
Best NA ET: 15.16 @ 90
http://members.cardomain.com/darksde02
