Nino, if you didn't buy the I pipe yet, try to get one off a 97+ V8 fbody. You might come off lucky and get one free like I did.

Just what you're looking for..2.75". I got mine off a guy I met off a local fbody message board at no charge. You're in Texas, so it's gotta be alot of fbody boards down there.99 Camaro Z28 A4
R.I.P. 00 Firebird 3.8
14.89 @ 90, 2.03 60\'

I've got a custom 3" exhaust w/ a flowmaster 80 series muffler (3" in, dual 2.5" out) w/ a set of quad resonated tips(cherry bombs). the whole thing cost me 400 installed. I kept the stock cat that has the 2.25" outlet. I lost a little backpressure, but gained a lot of power from 2000 up 2 5250-5500, then it tapers off a bit. if u get a bigger outlet cat, u'll lose a lot of low-end, but ur top end will be very strong. u can gain some low end back if u do intake mods 2 it, cuz u'll get more air in and it'll improve the whole powerband, low-end and top-end will both be improved. if u live near sea-level and plan on doing at least heads/cam or nitrous, a 3" will be well worth the money, and after that, u can decide how big an outlet u want on the cat(stock, 2.5", or 3").

I am getting a ram air hood put on my car next week. Would the loss of backpressure from the 3" exhaust be made up with the ram air?? If that is the case, I'll be getting some headers real soon. I already have the 3" exhaust (must get off friends wrecked '94 Z). Then I will gut the cat on my car and run a 3" straight pipe through it.1995 Pontiac Firebird
