Clear Image headers, and guted stock cat?

Hey guys been a long time since my las post!
I ordred a set of the Clear Image headers and I hope they end up turning out great. I know mos of o get the pacesetters, but I wanted to be different I guess. If any of you have the CI headers give me a shout and let me know how they are.
Also I'm thnking of gutting my stck cat and adding an 02 sim. so as to have a cheaply made off-road pipe. If anyone has done this or have any comments about this let me have some input. I'd like to kno if these are good decisions.

i have the cia headers with a cutout(no cat), 2.75" i-pipe and flows 80 series w/slp dual/dual tips, sounds good, pretty loud, and it works...

Whats up dude, nice choice on the CIA headers, your getting a lot better quality over the pacesetters. I probably can't sway you from gutting your cat, but at least when you do it, don't just gut it and put it back on, put a straight pipe there. I mean you might as well just take the whole thing off, I doubt any officers will look under your car etc... They don't even do a smog test for our cars where I'm at anymore, they just check for codes. If you just gut the cat and put it back on, I heard it sounds really weird because of all the open space it has in the cat.

i have my cat futted, and it sounds good, and i also noticed more low end power after i did it. and yes, it does sound "hollow", but not weird.i'd do it if emissions are not a problem where you live.

Was there any problems installing CI headers?
Cause I'm getting them in a month or so.
Plus I'm getting them because they have 3" out y-pipe so I can do my full 3" exhaust.
