• SLP CAI only CAI for 3.8?

I was wondering if the SLP cold air intake was the only one made for a 1996 3.8 Camaro. You would think there would be more choices. Thats alot.

LOL!!! That's a good one! We 95-97 3.8 owners have almost NOTHING to look for in performance gains. Alot of the performance parts availible are for the 3.4's and 8 cylinders. Oh, and 98+ 3.8's have more stuff availible than we do. We are a forgotten breed, that's why I'm being sooo good this year. I'm hoping Santa brings me an SS.

Tell me i'm downright crazy, but it'd be the first guy to try and make a CAI out of PVC pipe and rubber hoses.

Besides, would an LT1 air box fit on your cars? Does K&N have an FIPK system? Just a couple ideas.

cartman your not crazy dude, or alone either. PVC though??? what was goin on there. I've made a custom ram air kinda like a SS intake, just aluminum, i've also made a custom cai. ::just remember I don't know what im doing supposedly other board members are saying it's going to melt through my radiator pipe and break my radiator to shreds:: just between you and me though, it isn't.
But yea, we gotta do whatever it takes right?

Hockeyman, what do you mean we don't have nothing to look forward to in performance gains, we have plenty of stuff, maybee just not a lot availible on the market. beleive me though theres plenty of stuff out there.

TPS Enhancer for 3.8's...NADA (requires wire cutting on the harness, which I'm not gonna do)
I know there are alot of things I could do for mods, but they don't seem as much as the 3.4's and 8 cylendars.
There is more, but I gotta go food shopping...Need to eat. ME HUNGRY!

Lingenfelter makes a supertube kit.
Basically it is a tube from the TB to the stock air box.
You can bypass the stock air box and put an open element k&n air filter on the end.
How do I know this???
Been there, done that :D

I am running the Lingenfelter SuperTube with the factory filter airbox for winter. I think it works great. You don't need to stick filters down into the fenderwell, just need to get rid of the BIG air restriction between the factory filter box and the TB.

The picture on their site is for the V8. Anyone who wants to see installed pictures, e-mail me for the zip file. It took 1/2 hour to install and no modifications to anything to install.
