Just got 40 Series Delta #942443 installed. I got tired of my Dual FLO-PRO. It was a cheap piece of ceramic-packed crap [img]graemlins/thumbsdown.gif[/img] . It wore out after only 2 years :mad: . The Flowmaster is quite docile actually. It is not that loud at idle. Just a deep throaty rumble. But when you get on it [img]graemlins/burnout.gif[/img] , whoa [img]graemlins/omg.gif[/img] . It comes to life. It is only metallic ricey above about 4500rpm. It pops with the best of them, but thats normal. All I got is a Moroso CAI and no CAT. Single turn down hidden tip. Inlet outlet on muffler is 2.25", but the shop welded a 2.5" outlet pipe on for me :D .

Yeah, the Delta's are going to be quieter-at least on the inside. I've had mine for awhile and I don't know whether it's burning in (probably too soon) or what but I really like it now. Maybe its the cooler weather. Its not any louder, but a little deeper than before.
A lot of people on this board say the 40 Series are junk on our V6's (at least with 3.8) but they must mean the Non-delta.
I should've gone with the larger pipe.

It sounded real mean and throaty on Friday when I got it. But still that higher rpm rasp. When I got it installed, the mechanic said that I could come back and have a resonator put where my off road pipe was and it would rid some of the rice. So Saturday I went back and had that done. It eliminated all the rice :D . But killed some of the deep Flowmaster sound :( .Moroso CAI<br />Flowmaster 40 Delta
