if i dient just swear off "changing exhaust" (on my 3rd setup now) I would definatly consider it..

Same here. I am tired of wasting my money... I have changed mufflers 3 times, and have a SS Takeoff (supposedly best sounding) sitting in my garage that wont bolt up to my i-pipe.

You guys shoudl check out ls1tech and ls1.com for the ongoing debate about the differences in The Rumbler and the LM! Similar to this has been done before and was called the Dynomouth actually. The difference is, we have a bullet race muffler alot closer to the y-pipe which cuts out on alot of rasp, it's not a resonator either, which makes for betetr sound and less rasp, and we have all mandrel clean bends (not sure if the LM does or not), and it is aluminized steel which makes for a long life without rusting It is a complete bolt-on kit unlike the Dynmouth, which required welding the bullet muffler in place.

The Rumbler sounds great on a V6. I am one of, if not the biggest, critic of V6 exhaust sounds. I have heard SO many that I can't stand, which is why I have always kept my stock catback and had a cutout, I just hated trying something that might sound crappy. I wouldn't trade this one for anything else available!

matt,

where are you guys in TX? and right now i have...

CIA headers
!cat
3"cutout
2.75" i-pipe
flowmaster 80 series
slp dual dual chrome tips

i'm going to swap an ls-1 in pretty soon, probably summer time, and i want something thats gonna be better with the ls1, and i dont think that the flows are gonna be what i want, and i like those tips, lemme know maybe we can set something up, because i am selling the headers soon as well, so maybe i can bring it up there and have you guys do it, so it gets done right... if you wanna email me, its redbird00@hotmail.com, thanks

We are right at the edge of Lubbock. It will be a nice setup while you have your V6, especially with the exhaust mods you already have. Then when you swap in an LS1, you already have a great catback and just need headers and an off-road Y pipe

Yea, that is one of the least expensive high-flow, high quality catbacks around. Not likely to get any cheaper than this for a little while anyway. $225 without tips is cheap!!!

Is there any way I can just order the over-the-axle pipe that branches into the tail pipes?? I'd like to keep the tips I have on my Flowmaster now but I'm adding a glasspack (to replace the cat) and I want to get rid of my 80 series.

The only part we will split-up is going to be the catback from the tip. You can use whichever tips you want, and our catback. Does that make sense?
