I know on the ls1 its right under the passenger seat, after the cat. Is it the same for a 3.8L?

Actually, if you have one custom made they could just cut a hole in the first turn away from the cat and add their custum built cutout there. I'm sure that would cost a bit more than the prefab cutout.
