Well, all I have to say on flowmasters are that it really just depends what all you're wanting to do with it. Yes, it sounds bad about 3500 rpms with nothing else done to your car. After a CAI and headers, however, I'm really not looking to switch mine, probably my next step is to get a full catback instead of just the muffler. I wish I had access to get you guys a sound clip, but you can try www.exhaustsoundclips.com to hear acouple different setups on our cars

The Rumbler is 3" all the way from the cat-back, until the pipe splits to the tail pipes. After the split, it is 2.5" pipe, and you need 2.5" ID tips www.fullthrottlev6.com THE SOURCE!

I have the flowmaster catback made for are cars and no other mods and it sounds great. I would go with the tested and proven flowmaster. I have had them on all my cars and they sound great. my 400 pontiac is the loudest car around. if you want it to sound like a v8 then just go buy a V8.

Don't get me wrong I like the sound of Flows on a V8 car, and I sell their catbacks when a customer wants one. But we have personally seen a flowmaster catback outperformed on the dyno by a Hooker by 8rwhp, back-to-back pulls nothing else changed. They sound good sometimes, but for performance, there is MUCH better IMO. Just my $.02www.fullthrottlev6.com THE SOURCE!

I dont doubt there are better systems but for my money i would want to go with what I know will perform and last. i have had flowmasters on my 400 pontiac for 5 years now and I have beaten that thing up and they still sound great and run strong. usually flowmaster is cheaper and thats why I would go with them. If I want all out performance I would just run straight out the headers.white 1996 camaro 3800: flowmaster American thunder cat back. hypertech 160* stat, and manual fan switch
