Question about cutout before the cat...

Okay, rather than spend the $$$ to redo my whole exhaust system, here's what i'm wondering.

If I replace my stock cat with a dynomax, will that free up enough room in front of the cat for a cutout?

Right now I just have the stock setup all the way back to a Ravin 2.5" muffler. I like the sound now, so going 3" all the way doesn't really seem necessary if I get a cutout before the cat for racing.

i have a 2 1/2 inch cutout before the cat. its tight, but it fits. i choose to go to a bigger i pipe for all around reasons. but if you just want to open up the exhaust for racing, then i can honestly tell you i have a cutout before the cat.

Before the stock cat? If there's room there, then there should be tons before a dynomax [img]smile.gif[/img]
