Is the SS hood functional? It appears more stylish than functional - and I'm trying to decide how it works with the airbox being away from the scoop in the wrong direction...

the SS hood is not a true ram air..it is more like directed air..the air goes in the scoop and travels through channels back to the front of the hood to where it enters the air box...
if your lookin for a ram air a FTRA would be better..but the SS hood looks so damn sweet

Yeah, the 98+ SS hood is a little weird on the underside...two channels to redirect the air to the airbox. The LT1 SS hood was cool because it was a simple wrap-around to the TB. Not that it makes a lot of difference considering that you have a 98+ F-body. Sorry, little rambling...have a lot on my mind.- Josh
If you have any questions or need installation pics/help, e-mail me: Viper98885@aol.com
\'93 Camaro Hardtop
\'01 Lincoln LS8 Sport
\'00 Yamaha YZF-R6
Full Throttle Performance
