I was thinking about adding a whisper lid, k&n filter and a cai kit then I saw photos where they removed the air silencer and put in a pvc coupling in there. Is this a subsitute for the lid, cai or both? Can I do this and still use the lid and K&N filter? Does the cai kit make the car run hotter? Also will the cold air kit suck in rain, snow or slush? This car will sometimes be driven in the winter. thanks 99 camaro with Y3F ground effects and Y87 performance pkg. 3.42 gears with 4L60E auto no other mods yet
