I just ordered the 3 in. hooker catback from thunder racing. I heard one on a guy that lives in town. Sounded badass. How much of an install price will be reasonable? oh I've ordered a new 3 in/out cat as well.

Should I expect any flak from a muffler shop cuz of getting a new cat. I mean my car has 78k miles on it and I think I damaged my cat neways. Also the only thing that I'll need additional will be the hangers correct?NO NOTHING CAR FAN

I have heard it is illeagul for them to touch your cat. If they give you any crap just bang up the cat or something and say it got damaged by a rock. Or cut it off and say you bought the car without one. If you find a nice shop then they should be cool about it.

Withmost exhaust shops, it's not illegal to replace the cat, simply illegal to modify it in any way (such as gutting it) or letting you leave the shop without a catalytic converter intact. If you go into the shop however with a straight pipe in place of the cat and all they are doing is working on the muffler or i-pipe or anything else, they won't do anything. Basically, don't expect to go to a shop and have them git your cat or put a straight pipt in...they will however install your high flow.
