i have always used k&n, but from what i have read it sounds like the power shot filters better and allows more air flow. what do you guys think?

K&N or Holley powershot?

Both are the same. I personaly use a K&N because every store sells them and thats just what was around when I was in the market. Holley makes a good filter as does K&N. You can't go wrong with either. You might have a harder time finding a holley though unless you order from the net.White 98 Camaro with t-tops leather and Y87. I think I heard that the Holley filter fits better in our cars wtihout a gasket, but Im happy with my k&n.1998 Arctic White Camaro
3.8L V6 M5
Flowmaster 80 Series with 3\" tips
Whisper Lid w/ K&N
Flowtech Cutout
Free-Ram Air Mod
Blue Underbody Neon Kit
3 MTX 6000 10\" Subs
Rockford 800a2 Amp
My Camaro

Very true. I have a Holley on my car and love it. I can definatly tell the difference with compliments of a whisper lid. But I cant really say if it flows better than a K&N because I have never had K&N on this car. I can tell you that the pleats in the filter are much larger than those of a K&N. So you would think it would flow better right? Cant go wrong with a Holley Powershot.

I think the holley is of far higher quality, I owned one and looked at both. There is no comparison between the quality of the two.
The deeper pleats and wider pleats are one thing, but the sturdier better sealing filter is what made me shell the money.2002 5-spd NBM Camaro

I have heard really good things about the Holley filter too. On the dyno however, I don't know if there would be any difference. But if they are cheaper, then I would suggest whichever would give you a little more money for the next mod.- Josh
If you have any questions or need installation pics/help, e-mail me: Viper98885@aol.com
\'93 Camaro Hardtop
\'01 Lincoln LS8 Sport
\'00 Yamaha YZF-R6
Full Throttle Performance

i doubt there's a difference in performance so setting that aside. get the holley. supposedly the oil when you clean it won't hurt your MAF like the K&N oil will and did to mine. i had to take apart my TB/MAF and clean it all out after i cleaned my K&N. stupid POS.i was swimming in the carribean. animals were hiding behind the rocks except for the little fish, but they told me the squid\'s trying to talk to me. oink, oink. where is my mind?

I recommend the Blackwing kit oil from SLPOnline to clean the Blackwing filters. Its blue and works really well - plus the kit is probably good for 10 cleanings and oilings! 2002 5-spd NBM Camaro
