Our cars do not have the air inlet tube that comes off the cat correct?

Everyone says to get the Catco 6007 and that it will work. The catco6007 does have the air inlet tube. Is this going to make any difference? Why not get a catco8007? I want the 6007 because it is way cheaper, but the 8007 does not have the air inlet tube. Which should I get?

Get the 6007 and have the cap that comes on the air tube welded down and you will be set. ;)
