Is there any nice sounding exhaust I can get for my car that doesn't sound like it has a hairball past 3k? Sure, I like a nice idle rumble, but I don't sound like sounding like a sick cat while flying...

Any help will be greatly apreciated.

Check out the Texas Speed Rumbler catback system. They have some sound clips in the post.

The 3.8 has a bigger problem with rasp than the 3.4, I just have custom 3" and a flowmaster and mine doesn't sound too bad
I think there is a sound clip around here some where of a 3.8 with the Borla exhaust and it sounds good... might want to look into it. I don't really like the way the rumbler sounds.

if you go to www.exhaustsoundclips.com i believe it is, they have a 3800 with borla and a hi-flow cat, and it sounds pretty damn close to what mine does...

Borla is the best sounding out of all of those on that site... but thats only my opinion.

i have pacesetter headers($250 installed), 3"cat and 3"pipe back to muffler($150 installed) and a 80 series flowmaster muffler($100 installed).. and in my opinion my car sounds great. cant hear none of that ricey sound at all hardely. could very well pass as an 8. depends on how much money you are wanting to spend. headers will help out alot with the rasp..at least it did for me when i went from just flowmaster to that plus headers.
