Really stupid question...but where can i remove my factory exhaust from without having to cut it? Cause i rolled under and after the y pipe is the cat and after that is the sensor, and then there is a clap and then it goes all the way back...am i not seeing something? Like is it heald together by that clamp? Or is there no way to take off the factory exhaust without cutting? Sorry for the stupid question. Please answer ASAP cause i would like to take this off today.

There is only the one clamp under that suport rail, the exhaust was installed by GM before the rear axle.
You will probibly have to drop the axle somwhat if you wanted to do that.

the only way to take off your stock exhaust without cutting it is dropping the axle. if you don't drop the axle you would have to cut the stock exhaust.

How exactly will i drop the axel? What tools are needed? Do i need to decompress the rear springs or anyting like that? Thankyou.

You'll want to cut it! No sense dropping the axle for just the exhaust, btu that's just me. You'd have to really be lifting the body, then disconnect the shocks, etc, to drop it. Not something (at all) you could easily do in a garage at home with a cheesy jack and stands, particulary if you don't want to disconnect brake lines, etc.

Are you installing a new exhaust? Go to a nice performance shop, they should weld it up for you for around $40 or so.

When I removed my exhaust, I backed the car up on ramps and just unbolted one side of one cross member. I can't remember which one exactly, but you DO NOT need to drop the axle to remove the exhaust in 1 piece.
