I don't know, it probally won't though. when putting on a 3" catback, you'l still have a fair amount of low-end torque since the stock cat outlet diameter is 2.25". I believe that the y-pipe from the headers is 3" since the cat inlet is 3". To lower the torque peak, just add intake mods to the car to get more air into the cylinders.2001 Arctic White Firebird<br />More mods than I\'m allowed to list!

Email them and find out. Artic the y-pipe i think is either 2.25 or 2.5, its 2 somethin is all i can tell you, you could prob find out by searching for it. the inlet of the cat is 3 inch but the y pipe collecter where the pipe form the manifolds comes in isnt just by looking at it i havent measured it at a guess i might say it looks like 2.5 if that it is not very big compared to the 3 inlet on the cat. but i may be wrong cause i have no exact measurments.no fate but what we make<br /><a href=\"http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/748167/1\" target=\"_blank\">http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/748167/1</a>

so 2.5 or 3 if i go with 2.5 i can get it made at an exhaust shop near where i live but if 3 im gonna have to figure out something else. but just the thought of having the 3 inch is driving me nuts cause i know what a difference it made from the cat to the muffler and im missing the s bend. which i plan on replacing when i do this and a high flow cat. i just need some info on which would be better and a safe bet i dont really want to loose my low end torque but for the sound i might be worth it.no fate but what we make<br /><a href=\"http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/748167/1\" target=\"_blank\">http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/748167/1</a>

stock, i believe it is less than 2.5 from the manifolds to the collector which is 3 inch to the cat, which has a 3 inch inlet and a 2.25 outlet.
i want to go three inch all the way from manifolds to muffler
(already have three inch past the converter to muffler with 2.5 outlet)

ok im going with the 3 inch cause the stock y pipe isnt bigger than 2.5 more like 2.25. so im gonna get the pipe to make it from jcwhitney get a couple of 90 degree bends one straight and a y collector. get a high flow cat 3 in/out then the 3 inch s bend to connect to my existing 3 inch i pipe. this should sound great but i hope my low end doesnt suffer to bad. thanks for your helpno fate but what we make<br /><a href=\"http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/748167/1\" target=\"_blank\">http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/748167/1</a>
