  • Borla Catback #14813

Been searching here for a week and still haven't found any posts about the Borla 14813. The link is here, or you can head to the Borla website and search by vehicle. I have a 2000 5-speed, and this is the only system they show. It's a full 3" system, but the dual exits seem strange. The passenger side exit doesn't even go through the muffler. Not much info there about it, but is it legal? Anyone have this system? Since it is designed for the 3.8, would it still require the "S" pipe? Did some shopping around, and you can find this as low as $650-700, not the $934.99 from Borla.

Also, this is my first post, and looking forward to getting my V6 geared up. Hello everyone!

$650-$700 is outrageous. I'd buy the muffler and get the cat back from a different company.

I hate the borla tips. They are so ugly.

you get what you pay for, I bought a full cat back exhaust system by borla. The sound is amazing my friend who is also into cars was following me the other day and said "it frightens me". Ive also found the car to be a bit more responsive and a shade faster. Talk to anyone who installs exhaust systems for a living they will all agree that borla is the best.

X2. Plus the tips have intercooler fins inside. The Borla is the BEST you can buy. It's stainless steel and will outlive the car (and you). I have a 3" Catback that is adjustable on the right side. If you want it to go through the muffler, there are various gaskets you can toy with. Personally, I wouldn't have it any other way than wide-open (unless you're going through inspection). Sounds mean as hell. Luckily I bought mine used (about 8 years ago)and had it polished out by a local shop that used a wheel. Everything cost me $300 and it looked brand new. It was THE BEST mod that I made to the car. I polish out the muffler and tips with a buffer and by hand once in a while and it shines like a mirror. The Borla tips are sweet, imo, and people that know exhausts will know what you're sportin'. ;)
