a good cat would be a carsound cheap and relible, a y pipe goes in between the headers and cat, good places to checkout are:
    summit.com

I love how 3 months ago, about 90% of the people on this board lived and breathed catco while I pushed carsound for a good while, sure I had to do some catco bashing to get my point out but it's cool to see everyone on here recommending carsounds now. I feel like I got something accoimplished.

The only problem I've had with my catco is the heatshield. I'll be ripping that off soon. The problem with other cats was the price, but since you can get a carsound cat for the same price as catco on ebay, go for it.

depends on weight, flow, and type of sound. I'd get RK Sport headers and just have it welded since the collectors are crap. this will get u more torque and a deeper tone. a 3" cat will flow enough for anything u might want in the future, whether it's all motor, nitrous, sc, or turbo. the muffler styles are up to you. for max flow, use resonators, maybe 1 in ur I-pipe and resonated tips out back. u can also use the round mufflers in back that u see on imports. they won't give u a ricey sound since ur car is a V6 and not an I4. U can also go w/ a tried and true flowmaster, edelbrock, dynomax, B&B Triflow, ect., but I still say u should get either a resonator in ur I-pipe, or resonated tips w/ it since it makes it sound better at high rpm's.

              RK Sport headers
              3" cat.
              3" cat-back w/ resonated tips and I-pipe.
