  • Installing headers, do you reuse old metal spacer/gasket?

I am in the middle of installing my pacesetters. The manifolds had this sort of gasket/spacer metal plates, and I am wondering if I should reinstall these with the headers. Thanks

You definitely need a gasket in there. You may be able to reuse the old ones. I bought new felpro metal ones when I did my headers. Seems like they were about $15.

omg please done use those old metal gaskets gaskets that one the car stock. That is sure to give you plenty of leaks! Mine were all bent up when i was trying to put headers on... Either use the ones pacesetter comes with, or buy some new ones from the auto store...DONT USE THE STOCK ONES OVER AGAIN.

Soak the pacesetter headers in water overnight before you install the headers...this will ensure that all the microscopic gaps will be filled when they dry.
