interesting...... I have a mufflex 4" (4" flowmaster) cat back on my bolt on LT1 and there is no power loss with the exhaust vs with open cutout. The sound on my LT1 is fantastic. My 94 3.4 has a Z28 intermediate pipe with a borla muffler back system from the early LT1 cars. It sounds great on the V6, much better sounding than the flowmasters that I've heard on the V6. It still gets the midrange scream that V6s get, but it a more velvet tone without the rasp.
