Mecham lid on a V6?

My cousin bought a Mecham Lid on eBay. The previously had an LS1 Firebird. I've noticed on LS1 cars thats the lids have the (for lack of a better term) "snorkels" in the center on the lid, while the 3.8 have the snorkels on the right side of the lid. The Mecham Lid has the snorkel on the middle, like the stock LS1 lids have.

Will this lid fit his 2000 3.8 Firebird? He hasn't tried to put it on yet, but is there any modifications he has to do to get this thing to fit? Thanks [img]smile.gif[/img]

EDIT: There were no instructions that came with this lid, how do we put it on if it can fit?

It will fit the airbox but would require a bendable flex coupling to route over to the throttle body. You would be better off selling it on LS1.com and buying one meant for a 3.8L.
