when i bought a k&n air filter and whisper lid for my 2000 i was wondering do i put that rubber peace that came with the filter? what is it for? thanks

that is a gasket for the airlid. It needs to be placed on the underside of airlid. the gasket is sticky back tape. -
I carefully placed my gasket in the trash can....its basicly useless.Comment
