  • SS Takeoff Muffler Mounts

I had an SS dual out muffler put on the Camaro a year and a half ago and it always swayed a lot, so I just changed the rubber mounts it hangs from and it's a lot tighter, but it still isn't as tight as I like.

The new mounts I have are oval shaped, so I'm thinking about using radiator hose clamps wrapped around the outside of the mount to tighten it up. Anyone tried this, or is there something I'm not thinking of?

A picture would be easier to understand, but if you're talking about the stock rubber-strap mount, you can get a replacement mount that uses a metal hanger that will stiffen up the side-to-side movement.
