Hey guys, I called up some muffler shops to try and get some quotes on the install. Nearly all the people I called had no clue what an S pipe is, except for meineke (sp?). They said they could only do 2.5 inch pipe. What are the dimensions on the s pipe? Is it 3 inches like the rest of the system? Where exactly does it go? Please help me out here guys so I can get an accurate quote. Also, is there any other name for it other then "S" pipe? Half the people were either not wanting to do it, or truely didnt know what an S pipe was. They also said they had to see the car, and see what exactly I was putting on. Im going to put on a TSP Rumbler, is there any way I could better describe it to them?

Ah, thanks Loochy. I just called up a few more people and most of them said they cannot bend 3 inch pipes. I think I'm just going to buy the SLP Installation kit, and just have them slap it on there.

Thanks BLLDOGG, now if I buy the SLP Installation kit, will it bolt right up to the stock cat? Or do I need a flange that comes with it, or what?

as far as the flange. i dont see a need for it cause you just going to have to weld them on anyways. i would personally just weld the s-pipe to the cat. that ones up to you cause if you ever want to disassemble your system for some reason. that would allow you to do it.

or buy the loudmouth slp s pipe kit from summit. I got mine for like 40 bucks. I think it was stainless and you dont have to cut and weld.97 RS
Member Status: F-Body Owner
Member Number: 7705
Registered: September 13, 2005
Posts: 24
Email Address: hfoxx123@yahoo.com
Location: Minnesota
Occupation: Database Administration
Homepage: http://none
Car: uh a camaro
