I have an 02 v6 firebird and was searching around for an affordable intake. Found one on ebay fairly cheap but for the wrong year. They offered to make a custom one for me but required these measurements. Can anyone kindly help?

"The gap in between the throttle body to the back of the maf sensor"

"The length after the maf sensor till the oem air box.
    also the iat sensor location"

I know little about engines to be honest, and this is the first car to really inspire me to at least try to learn. If anyone could give me those measurements I would very much appreciate it.

You could make your own for cheaper probably. Do a search for a home made intake, or just ask some of the 3.8 guys around, they'll give you some good ideas...

I have a 2000 3.8 Camaro and I made my own custom PVC intake. Directions: Take off the air silencer by unclamping the metal clamps from the throttle body coupler and the air box coupler now take out the air silencer and the throttle body coupler but leave in the air box coupler the one with the sensor pluged into it. Take a Female-Female Rubber PVC Coupler and a Male PVC Connector from Home Depot and slide the male pvc connector into the rubber pvc coupler (The rubber pvc coupler should have 2 clamps on it, be sure to slide the male pvc connector into the rubber pvc coupler and clamp it in)! Now clamp the rubber pvc coupler directly onto the throttle body and fit the stock air box coupler onto the male connector that is in the pvc rubber coupler and clamp it on. (The reason to use the male pvc connector is because the rubber pvc coupler is not quite long enough to go from the TB to the air box). Make sure all the clamps are tight. For added air flow unclamp the air box lid and take it out, take a pair of pliers and carefully snap out those air fins in the top of the lid and after they are out sand the surface flat and rinse it thoroughly then dry it good and clamp it back in. (Be sure to buy extra metal clamps)! Then finally buy a Frame Air Hog or a K&N air filter to top it off!
This will make the motor sound much deeper kind of like a V8! Good Luck!!!

check it out. Just like L36 said, but with pics and stuff.
                    This mod works.

Thanks a ton guys, I'm gonna try to make it myself. I'm not exactly adept when it comes to making things from scratch but I'll make the attempt. If that doesn't work out I think I'll buy one of the kits shown on that link. The prices look very reasonable. Thank you greatly for the info.

be very carefull when you expose the MAFF screen on the front of the Throttle Body. Do not bend or even touch it. It is very frigile...don't even look at it sideways.
