Exhaust questions

Hey, IA m sorry for I sure this has already been asked, but I cant really find any info.

First, my friend has a Dynomax Catback on his 1985 Firebird, he will sell it for 100 bucks, will this fit on my 1996 3.8 Camaro Automatic?

Also, if I never got that one, which exhasut should I get, I want a nice dumb rumble at idle, and a nice muscular sound a WOT...a decent power increase would be awesome too, but I dont want it to be too loud, or ricey sound..thats a no no [img]smile.gif[/img]

I doubt your friend's exhaust system will fit on to your different generation F-Body, you'd have to go someone who knows both systems well in order to get an answer, and that's probably why you haven't gotten one on that yet.

Many of the systems that you'll buy for your catback will give you nice rumbles at low RPMs, but if you want your 6-banger roarin at high revs you need displacement - that means you need the 5.7 liter v8 to get high revvin', muscular roars. The best systems that I know of are the Borla system and the SLP Loudmouth system. I went with the loudmouth because almost everywhere I went, it was about 300 dollars cheaper. However if you do the full system, including intake, headers, and a high flow cat, it will sound better.
