wish I never started header install

I bought RK sport headers years ago, just never got around to installing them. I've been to busy working on my 69 camaro, so I figured I bring my 96RS 3.8 into a shop to have them installed. Well, the headers are on for the most part. The mechanic has to figure out a way to get the EGR tube to fit the headers, part of the Y pipe is almost hitting the frame, the collector points up towards the floor about 15 degrees. Now he has to heat up the pipe and bend it into place. On top of that, the 3 to 2.5 reducer I bought is too long, so he has to figure out a way to get the cat to the collector. I honestly wish I did not start this.

Yes the header problems are not major, but still annoying non the less and costing a lot $$$. I guess I'm just tired of all the nonfitting parts that cost an arm and a leg.

Working on the 69 is fun most of the time, however paying for all the parts (over 12 grand)gets a little tiring. Other than replacing some old trim parts, putting on a set of aluminum heads, bigger cam and carb, I'm pretty much done with her. She rocks now, but she's gonna get a whole lot faster next spring.
