my full 3 in w/ high flow cat is loud but sounds good. it is plently restrictive enough. mufflers sound like crap up top. go with a high flow, no cat will rasp more.
as for the rattles thats your problem. you can fix them easily.

I love my setup. Doesnt leave me envying any other v6 that Ive ever heard at least. At some point I intend to cut my I-pipe and put in an 18" bullet, which should help it out even more.

whats all this talk about the 3' cat? did u just weld a 3' cat up to the smaller diameter pipes? i am in the same position with LD and i dont think a bigger cat will work for the stock 2.25 s-pipe... but im really confused, what did you mean by all of this?

yeah, I really don't know what I need to do yet
I am guessing the best way to go would be get headers, and I'm guessing they will go into a 3in pipe, which will go into a 3in hiflow cat, 3 in pipe back to some sort of dual outlet muffler where I can install my sweet stainless steel z28 tips
now what I have to know is
what is the best headers to buy
what I need to install the headers, or if I should just pay to have it done
what kind of pipe to go from the headers to the cat and what shape
what kind of cat to buy and where to get it
what kind of piping that will need to go back to the muffler
what muffler would sound best and where to get it
easy as pie
this is why I posted, because I am really not sure what to do at this point
My ? is, if you want to sell it, how much can you get for it now. Or do you realy want to put the money into it? Take it to a dealer & get some $ or a trade in or sell it in an add, and screw some one.I would say sell it to a dealer & let them deal with it. just my 2 cents.

the headers arent really worth the money since you have tublar manifolds. youd spend 500+ and get minimal gains.
if you did get headers you woudl have a y-pipe connect the 2 sides together and go to the cat.
but you have a y-pipe now that is 3 in before the cat.
so heres what you need:
3 in cat
3 in cat back (tsp rumbler($200 without tips), slp loudmouth($300))
3 in s pipe
ok stock you piping before the cat is 3 inches it goes through the cat and then bottlenecks to 2 1/4 in. so if you cut the cat off a 3 in cat will fit right on. but you have to either get an s pipe made or order the lt1 install kit for the loudmouth($70). you can make one by taking a u bend and cutting it in half and flipping one side up to make a s pipe.

eah I really don't know much about this stuff
I am reading as much as I can
when you say slp loudmouth, is that just a muffler?
and the link for the exhaust, does that include mufflers, or am I buying those seperate?
the loudmouth and rumbler are catbacks and are very similar to each other in looks and sound. try the sticky in this section to hear sound clips of both and decide if its too loud for you. yes the loudmouth and rumbler are about the loudest 2 catbacks you can buy for our v6's so make sure you want it REAL loud before you get it.

I just want it to sound good
I don't care about loud, just as close to a v8 as possible
I hate the raspy nasty crap my flowmaster (muffler only) does past like 3,000 rpms
I don't want to be afraid to get on it for fear that people will hear teh v6
neither of them have mufflers, the LM has a resonator, and the rumbler has a bullet or something.from searching and searching it seems the rumbler doesnt rasp as much and isnt as loud ( but close ) the reason they dont have mufflers is so their loud ( and maybe performance im not sure ) if you were to add one it would be really quite and might not sound as good.

Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
