  • install cat in backwards

    Anything wrong with doing this?
its a uni-directional, one way in, one
    way out.

but one side has less material(filter).
I'm trying to put the filter farther away from
the engine so it doesnt burn up so easily. lol

if u know the direction its supposed to go, put it in that way fer chrissakes! honestly, i have no idea but hey, y play around with it. better off just putting it in the right way rather than put it in backwards and maybe sumthing breaks and you gotta buy another one cuz the warrenty went void. too much hassle and money for a truely pointless experiment in my mind...

That's a negative on installing backwards.

Converters have two separate sections that each support a different reaction. These should proceed in order so that the oxygen freed from NOx in the first bed can be used to burn CO and HC's in the second bed.

It'll work some backwards, but not as well. You'll prob throw P0420
